2009 Scholarship Application

All Applicants must meet the following requirements:

To apply for this scholarship, eligible candidates must follow these guidelines:

1. Complete and sign and submit the official application form by November 30, 2009.
2. Submit an official transcript of courses completed.
3. Submit a brief letter of recommendation from a school or college dean or professor, or an individual associated with the Fashion Industry, agency, government institution, nonprofit corporation, or an institution higher education such as a college or university.
4. Submit a typed, double-spaced essay, of no less than two pages and no more than three pages, as to why you believe that you may qualify to receive this fashion design scholarship.
5. Be registered as a full-time undergraduate student at an accredited four-year college or university.
6. Have attained at least junior status by the time the scholarship will be used (Summer or Fall 2010) and have at least one full term remaining by the time the scholarship will be awarded (January 2010).
7. Earned and maintained a 3.0 grade point average on a 4.0 point scale in all courses. If you are not on a 4.0 grading scale, please explain.
8. Submit one of the following for consideration: a portfolio illustrating a minimum of ten cohesive designs representing the look of your personal design style or collection, or, three completed garments which you have constructed personally without the use of outsourcing.
