The Paper Bag Princess, Inc. enforces a strict confidentiality and operates under the highest code of business ethics. We do not sell or exchange any of our customer’s private information with any outside organizations.
It is The Paper Bag Princess, Inc. sincerest intentions to accurately describe an item at all times, and offer only the finest preselected authentic merchandise. However, if an item is found to significantly not be in the condition or size as set forth in its description, the item may be returned for a full refund or credit. That being said, any issue regarding condition, or incorrect size must be discussed fully prior to any refund being issued. In the case of flaws which may have been overlooked, the buyer MUST submit photographs to us indicating the presumed flaws which were NOT previously described in a listing. Any issue regarding color, buyer’s remorse, fit, or use of an item will NOT be considered as grounds for a refund. Please ask all pertinent questions regarding condition, size, color, provenance, age, use or purpose. No refunds will be granted unless both parties have mutually agreed in advance upon the terms of a return for refund. This means, all images must be submitted by email by the buyer indicating flaws which were overlooked by the seller. Seller must agree to the images and issue a document accepting the return EXCLUDING ALL SHIPPING AND INSURANCE CHARGES. The buyer must contact our customer service office within 24 hours of receipt of the item, and the item is returned and received to The Paper Bag Princess, Inc. within three (3) business days, accepting government holidays.
No item under any circumstances will be accepted for return without prior approval of The Paper Bag Princess and without the issuing of a ‘Refund Document’ signed by a refund officer of The Paper Bag Princess.
Refunds will NOT be granted on any intimate apparel.
The definition of condition is understood under The Paper Bag Princess, Inc. Corporate Policy, Terms and Conditions of Online Sales as described, either “excellent”, in “like-new” condition, or as specified in the item’s description. We list the size as indicated on the actual item, which may vary by the country of origin. Returns based on discrepancy of “condition” or “size” must be mutually agreed upon by both The Paper Bag Princess, Inc. and the purchaser prior to the issuing of a refund, once all other terms are met.
Note: There will be a 20% restocking service fee for all returns.
In an effort to safeguard credit cardholders all items purchased with a major credit card will be shipped only to the address verified as the cardholder’s current billing address, unless pre-authorized by the cardholder’s issuing bank in advance of billing and shipping. No exceptions to this will be granted.
Orders are processed and shipped within one to three (3) business days from the date of transaction.
All items must be shipped back to The Paper Bag Princess, Inc. at the purchaser’s expense via REGISTERED delivery service.
All items must be received by The Paper Bag Princess, Inc. in the exact condition it was shipped in order for the purchaser to be ensured a full refund. When returning an item for refund under the afore mentioned conditions, the purchaser should use the same or comparable shipping container.
All items once shipped to the purchaser are the sole responsibility of the purchaser and therefore it is advisable that the purchaser requests in advance of the shipping, full insurance for the total value of the item from their selected shipping company at the time of purchase. Any damages incurred during the shipping process will be the sole responsibility of the purchaser and it will be up to the purchaser to address the issue of any damages to the item that occurred during shipping with their selected shipper. The purchaser will hold The Paper Bag Princess, Inc. blameless in the event that an item is damaged during shipping.
The Paper Bag Princess, Inc. will uses the highest quality packing materials when shipping all items to the purchaser. The Paper Bag Princess, Inc. and its representatives employ the utmost care and consideration when packaging items for shipment to ensure its safe arrival to the purchaser. The Paper Bag Princess, Inc. uses only recognized, responsible and reliable shippers including Federal Express, UPS and the United States Postal Service.
We accept seasonal contemporary merchandise in excellent condition from designers including CHANEL, HERMES, VALENTINO, GIVENCHY, YVES SAINT LAURENT, ALAIA, BALENCIAGA, CHRISTIAN DIOR, LOUIS VUITTON, GUCCI, CELINE, ALEXANDER MACQUEEN, DOLCE & GABBANA, and PRADA to name a few. We also look for exceptional designer vintage from the 1900’s through the 1990s.
The Paper Bag Princess specializes in evening attire, including gowns, coats, wraps as well as beautiful day dresses. We do not typically take suits or career-wear.
The consignor receives 40% of the item’s final net selling price. Items may be reduced by 10% after the first thirty days and consignors and all consignment contracts are for 120 days and may be extended thereafter.
The Paper Bag Princess makes private appointments for consignment in the mornings Monday through Friday between the hours of 11:00 AM and Noon, prior to the boutique opening to the public for regular business.
If this time is not feasible for you, we accept images via email email@example.com. Please include a short description with designer information, as well as any other pertinent information such as your expected asking price for a particular item.
All items placed on layaway require a payment of 40% of listed price. Please note that this deposit is non-transferable and non-refundable, with payment in full required within 30 days of original deposit, unless alternative terms are agreed upon in advance.
If purchaser does not fulfill this agreement for whatever reason, The Paper Bag Princess Inc:
- Reserves the right to run the submitted credit card on file for the remaining balance of said article.
- Reserves the right to return merchandise to sales floor if credit card transaction is declined.
- The client agrees to forfeit their deposit if the balance is not paid in full by the end of the term of this layaway, unless alternative arrangements are agreed to and submitted writing prior to the termination of the 30 day terms of this layaway contract.
All items for sale on The Paper Bag Princess website have a condition grade assigned to them. The following definitions are Suggested Guidelines for each condition grade. Please note that individual items may have descriptions which contain more specific details about the item’s condition. Never-worn or used item.
Garment/Item is in perfect original or restored condition. It is not damaged or faded in any way. All original details and decorations are intact and no alterations or changes to the original item have been made.
Garment/Item is intact and has been gently-worn or used without any signs of wear or damage. There are no tears, fading, holes, wear spots, fraying or splitting.
Garment/Item is intact but the lining, decorations or item details show some signs of wear. There are no tears, fading, holes, wear spots, fraying or splitting.
Garment/Item is intact but the lining, decorations or item details may be damaged or missing. The outside of the item shows no tears, fading, holes, wear spots, fraying or splitting.
Garment/Item is wearable or usable but may have stains, minor holes and fading, and missing buttons and decorations.
Design inspiration only. Garment/Item is NOT WEARABLE or USABLE due to the overall condition. Fabric or paper deterioration is evident, or the delicate condition of the item predisposes use other than display, rental for design purposes or private collection.
