Elizabeth Mason has owned The Paper Bag Princess, Vintage Couture Boutique in Beverly Hills for over two decades, and has also been designing her namesake collection for a little over 15 years now under the label Elizabeth Mason Couture. She credits her success with her design line to her wonderful group of very talented young ladies including her master sample and pattern maker, as well as all of her staff in her Atelier which is located just minutes away from the boutique on Robertson in Beverly Hills.
Elizabeth Mason Couture vintage inspired contemporary designs are available at her boutique, in Beverly Hills, as well as online on 1stDibs.com.
Mason’s designs are inspired by the beautiful vintage couture fashions she has had the privilege to collect and represent for sale in her boutique for over two decades. Her collection and archives heralds back to the great designers of the late 1930s through the early 1950s, with a very special attention to the Hollywood Silver Screen era designers such as Adrian, Irene, Ceil Chapman, Helen Rose, Howard Greer, Travilla, and Don Loper, as well as classics such as Chanel, Desses, Dior and Balenciaga.
Her designs have been described as “Glamorous and sexy red carpet attire with a contemporary edge, yet still reflecting the incredible craftsmanship of an era lost to manufacturing techniques of today’s fast-paced, cookie-cutter fashion houses.”
Mason’s designs are recognized by celebrity stylist as ‘Your Go to Looks’; perfectly sculpted little black dresses with a delicate hint of sex appeal. Every design has that little surprise, something special in the tailored attention to the bodice which draws the eye towards the wearers beautiful shoulders and face.
