I have been designing my own collections for 5 years now under the label Elizabeth Mason Couture, support by a wonderful group of very talented young ladies who are sample and pattern makers in my Atelier.
My designs are available at my two boutiques, Beverly Hills and Toronto a well as a selection in my exclusive department at ‘The Room’, Hudsons Bay Company, Queen Street, Toronto.
Inspired by the beautiful vintage couture I have had the privilege to collect and represent in my boutique for many years, my collections heralds back to the great designers of the late 1930s through the early 1950s, with a very special attention to the Hollywood Silver Screen era designers such as Adrian, Irene, Ceil Chapman, Helen Rose, Howard Greer, Travilla, and Don Loper, as well as classics such as Chanel, Desses, Dior and Balenciaga. My designs have been described as “Glamorous and sexy red carpet attire with a contemporary edge, yet still reflecting the incredible craftsmanship of an era lost to manufacturing techniques of today’s fast-paced, cookie-cutter fashion houses.”
If I could play all day long and never have a care in the world, it would be to fill my hours with the joyous and delightful sensations that flow over my spirit as I work tirelessly in my design studio. There simply are never enough hours in a day for me to design beautiful dresses and gowns and play at all that I love!
I have been blessed with the great honor and privilege to create beautiful gowns and dresses for some of Hollywood’s luminaries such as Julia Roberts, Maria Bello, Ayelet Zurer, Jennifer Aniston, Trudie Styler, Jennifer Esposito, Kelly Lynch, to name a few, however it is the woman such as myself that is at the heart of my design work and top of my client list. A lady who is passionate about detail, quality, construction and an absolutely perfect fit and has no intentions of blending in with the crowd.
